That's the fellow Joe that Bowtie and I bought our 1568/1569 amps from. I've seen that set up in person in Woodbridge VA, and it looks quite interesting.

You should see his basement. Shelves and shelves of old tube gear. Sounds like someone I know....

Never heard those before.Steve Schell mentioned they are great sounding speakers IIRC. I'm pretty sure it was those LC9A's

LOL it is still fairly often that I read my own thoughts in some ebay auction, either quoted directly or paraphrased. The seller has evidently encountered one of my old posts somewhere on the web. A.J. May told me that he intended to fit passive radiators ("drone cones") to the three bottom ports, but that an RCA boss heard the LC-9 in incomplete form, approved the results for production, and reassigned A.J. to other projects before he could complete his work. He said "These are the difficulties of working for a large corporation."

It's funny that at the bottom of the post under shipping he says that each cabinet is approximately 70 pounds... he must mean unloaded..because that's a pretty big set of speakers to weigh that little with all the components inside of them.

Yeah, the speaker weighs around 175 lbs plus with no PRs it won't perform nearly as well on the bottom end with just huge vent holes, so that's going to jack up the total cost considerably.
